VELMA — Wayland Gene Loring, 71, of Velma, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, in Velma.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Velma-Alma High School Gymnasium with Harley Files officiating, assisted by the Rev. Cody Deevers. Interment will be in New Velma Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Grantham Velma Chapel.

Bearers will be Craig Loring, Perry Loring, Kelby Loring, Jarryd Loring, John Leasure, Bronson Loring and Zachary Cable.

Edwin Joseph “Ed” Carey Jr., 74, of Duncan, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, in Bryn Mawr, Pa.

A special time of remembrance will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel.

A Mass of Commemoration and Joy will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Assumption Catholic Church with interment in Duncan Cemetery.

Bearers will be Ed Apple, Richard Dixon, Nelson Garner, Bob Schick, Joe Vermedahl, Gene Christian, Bill Buxton and George Lindley. Honorary bearer is Gene Nelson.
