— Jessie Loyd Tidwell, 71, of Comanche, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, in Duncan.
Funeral services will be at at 2 p.m. Monday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan.
Jessie was born March 18, 1937, in Stephens County to L.W. and Katie Brown Tidwell.
Jessie served in the United States Army. He worked as a oilfield pumper and was a member of Fair Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, David Tidwell and wife, Robin, of Duncan; a daughter, Jennifer Lewis and husband, Brian, of McAlester; two brothers: James Tidwell of Comanche and Billy Jack Tidwell of Duncan; and six grandchildren: Greg Tidwell, Johnny Tidwell, Jared Tidwell, Josh Tidwell, Carter Lewis and Brinley Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Bonnie Randall; and a brother, Albert Tidwell.
Bearers will be Bryan Clark and Bill Cheatwood and Jessie’s nephews: Mike Tidwell, Jeff Tidwell, Ricky Tidwell and Clifford Randall.
Honorary bearer is Joe Tidwell.
