DUNCAN —
Donna Faye Merritt Kaspereit, 72, of Duncan, passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, in Duncan.
Funeral services will be at 10 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dick Greenwood officiating. Interment will be in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Donna was born in Rush Springs on Sept. 23, 1936, to Robert and Emma Josephine Merritt. She married Herman Jefferson Kaspereit Sept. 18, 1954 in Duncan.
Donna attended Agawam Elementary School and Ninnekah Junior and Senior High. She was a homemaker and also worked at Duncan Laundry, Kanakuk Nursing Home and Irving Elementary School in the cafeteria.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. Donna was devoted to her children and her family.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Herman, of the home; three children: Dewayne Herman Kaspereit and wife, Twyla, of Duncan, Ginger Tinney and husband, Mike, of Norman and Sandra Lumley of Ark. She had seven beautiful grandchildren: Chad Kaspereit, Sarah Kaspereit, Lorrie French, Amanda Walker, Travis Lumley, Rachel Tinney and Daniel Tinney; and five great-grandchildren: Tyler Walker, Charley French, Brighman French, Christopher French and Chase Kaspereit. She is also survived by a brother, Otis Dean Merritt of Agawam and a sister, Mazella Mae Davis of Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jonathan Tinney; and nine brothers and sisters.
Bearers will be Mike Tinney, Daniel Tinney, Chad Kaspereit, Keith Walker, Larry Kaspereit and Harold Kaspereit.
Honorary bearers are members of her Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
