Three boys were airlifted to Oklahoma City to be treated for ingesting prescription medications after they found a bottle of pills in a parked car at a Marlow home Saturday evening.

According to Undersheriff Bob Hill, the boys, ages 6, 7 and 8, may have thought the pills were candy and began to eat some of them.

Two of the boys are brothers, and Hill said the parents of the third boy noticed that he was acting funny when he got home. The parents went to talk to the parents of the brothers and together discovered that the situation could be serious.

They called for an ambulance and the boys were first taken to Duncan Regional Hospital before being flown to Oklahoma City.

Hill said the latest news he had heard as of Monday was that the boys were showing signs of improvement.

The incident is being investigated.
