Construction workers from WW Builders press further into construction work at a building which will soon become home to a new company, DR2.

Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation is working on wrapping up some of its ongoing construction projects and expects to see new companies in Duncan in the near future.

DAEDF President Lyle Roggow said a new company, Southern Petroleum Laboratories, will set up shop in one of the 3-Lab spec buildings upon construction completion.

“We’ve been working with this company since February,” Roggow said. “It’s new to our area ... It’s an exciting opportunity for us.”

The company will test samples of the oil and gas and will focus their work more on chemistry.

Roggow said he expects the building the company will reside in to reach completion in September.

The other two buildings in the 3-Lab set will follow closely after with one of the buildings also reaching completion in september. Roggow said the only contract he has left out is on building C and that building’s latest completion date is in October.

On the other corner of Duncan’s Industrial Park, construction on DR2’s soon-to-be home is chugging along and matching its timeline.

Roggow said he expects to pour concrete in the building later this week. The construction should be complete by Dec. 1 of this year and the company will open right after the beginning of 2016.
