DPD continues Star Pharmacy robbery investigation, recovers stolen car

DUNCAN — Duncan Police are still investigating a robbery that happened at Star Pharmacy in the Chisholm Mall on Sept. 27. While a suspect hasn’t been caught, there are persons of interest, said Det. John Byers.

The robbery happened about 9:51 a.m. and a lone individual entered the business and ordered everyone to the ground. He went into the pharmacy area and demanded they give him all the lortabs (hydrocodone), then put them into the black backpack he was carrying. He was dressed all in black, including a solid hoodie and pants. Byers said the suspect left and ran north behind Reames Cleaners and Eric’s Auto.

“If anyone has any information, call Crimestoppers or myself,” Byers said. Crimestoppers is 252-INFO. Byers can be reached at 251-7624.

Byers said he’s also been busy with a variety of other incidents, including a stolen car that he recovered on Saturday.

The car was taken from 603 S. 10th and recovered later at U.S. Highway 81 and Oak in the parking lot. He said also that Precision Auto at U.S. Hwy 81 and Main Street was broken into and $90 cash was stolen.

“We have a couple of leads we’re looking into,” he said.

One other case he’s been involved with was the report of a child abuse incident. He said that actually was turned over to Comanche County.

“We’ve been busy, but it’s just been a lot of little things,” he said.
