DUNCAN — There’s a call out for a few hardy rodeo fan volunteers. About 60 people are needed to help with the upcoming PRCA Ram Prairie Circuit Finals Rodeo set for Oct. 18-20.

This event is bringing in nearly 110 contestants and their families from three states to Duncan and Stephens County.

“It presents an unique opportunity to spotlight our community and continue to grow Duncan’s reputation as a tourism destination,” said Duncan Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Chris Deal.

“The Rodeo Committee has devoted countless hours to the planning of this significant        community event. They need our help.”

Coordinating a rodeo of this magnitude calls for more than 60 additional adult volunteers. They must be 21 years or older.

Volunteer duties range from gate entrance watch duty, greeting spectators, ticket takers, security work and coordinating parking.

“And most importantly, volunteers must act as ambassadors of goodwill to the thousands of visitors to our community.”

Volunteers can be for just a few hours or for all three days.

That is entirely up to the volunteer.

“Consider assisting the PRCA Prairie Circuit Rodeo Finals Committee in making this an unforgettable event for the contestants, spectators and our community,” Deal said.
