Michael Anthony Ray, the 16-year-old accused of killing 14-year-old Alyssa Wiles of Duncan on June 10, is due in court today for a post-evaluation competency hearing.
Ray, who was living in Marlow, is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Wiles.
A 14-year-old boy accused of being a lookout that day told police Ray was upset that Wiles had broken up with him and went to her house. Ray allegedly kicked in the back door and stabbed Wiles in her bedroom. She was found later that day by her father.
The 14-year-old boy is charged as a juvenile with accessory to murder.
Ray’s attorney, Jim Berry, asked Ray be evaluated to determine if he was competent to stand trial. He has been evaluated but the findings are sealed until at least today’s hearing.
