Authorities seized a .22-caliber revolver during a drug sweep at a Duncan apartment complex, but there was no immediate connection to the fatal drive-by shooting of Australian Christopher Lane.
Authorities served several search warrants and made six drug arrests during a raid conducted at the Elm Terrace Apartment complex in Duncan on Friday. The raid followed a three-month investigation into methamphetamine dealing.
Three teenagers charged in the drive-by shooting on Aug. 16 were known to frequent the complex, and police have been trying to locate a .22-caliber revolver used in the crime.
According to records of a search warrant served on one apartment during the sweep, police seized one .22-caliber revolver wrapped in a plastic bag. They also found a plastic bag with a green leafy substance, a Daisy air pistol, a scanner and other items.
Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford said there was no information the gun seized is the one police are looking for in the shooting. He said the gun has been sent off for evaluation, but said the same would be done for any .22-caliber revolver found anywhere.
