DUNCAN — A Duncan man was medi-flighted to OU Medical Center Wednesday afternoon, after he was involved in a single-car crash on Parker Road.

Michael Paul Messenger, 37, was transported to Duncan Regional Hospital by AMR and then to OU Medical Center by medi-flight where he was admitted with internal trunk injuries and listed in critical condition. In the accident, he was ejected from the driver side window about 75 feet.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol accident report, the accident happened based on driver inattention inside the vehicle. Messenger was driving a 1993 Lexus at a high rate of speed, westbound on Parker Road when he lost control, according to the report. His vehicle went off the left side of the road, hitting a fence, rolling 3/4 of a time.

As of Thursday afternoon, Messenger was still in critical condition.
