Preliminary hearing set for alleged child abuser

DUNCAN —

Christopher Easley of Marlow has chosen to continue his court proceedings by way of a preliminary hearing. Easley appeared in Judge Jerry Herberger’s courtroom Wednesday for a preliminary hearing conference. He will appear before Judge Joe Enos on April 30. No time has been determined.
Felony charges were filed against Easley on Jan. 22 for child abuse by injury. The child, at the time of charges, was approximately 2 months old. Easley is charged with willfully and maliciously doing harm to the child in his care which allegedly resulted in the child suffering from multiple bone fractures.
The fractures included a broken left humerus, a fractured left lower arm, three fractured right ribs and a left fractured femur. After the child was taken into protective custody by the Department of Human Services, the child was transferred to OU Children’s Hospital.
Marlow Police Department’s Tony Aguilera conducted the investigation which led to the charges. During the investigation, according to the affidavit filed, Easley admitted to Aguilera that he caused all the broken bones on the child.
