DMS Spring Concert
The Duncan Middle School (grades 7th and 8th), along with DMS Honor Choir, will be presenting its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Simmons Center. The name of the program is “Springtacular.” This is a free event open to the public.
Senior Law Project at the Comanche Delta Senior Nutrition Center
Legal Aid has scheduled a community education talk at the Comanche Delta Nutrition Center in Comanche at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Tyler Johnson, attorney at Legal Aid, will be talking about senior issues to be followed with a short question and answer session.
Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Inc., Lawton Law Center, along with the Chickasha Satellite office and Altus Satellite office, provides direct legal services for senior citizens on civil legal problems through judicial or administrative representation, legal counseling, advice and community education.
The Senior Law Project staff make regular visits to nutrition sites and Senior Citizen Centers within Comanche, Caddo, Grady, Stephens, Jefferson, Tillman, Cotton, McClain, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, and Kiowa counties.
Hall returns to Oklahoma for book signing
Former Oklahoma Gov. David Hall will discuss and sign copies of his new book, “Twisted Justice”, Wednesday at the Museum of the Great Plains in Lawton Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m.
A discussion period precedes the signing.
The book focuses on his career in politics, his conviction on charges of bribery and extortion and his 18-month stay in federal prison.
Hall now lives in California.
