DUNCAN — For those who think they can’t make it to the polls Tuesday for the City of Duncan’s $9 million street improvement bond proposal, today, absentee voting continues.

The Absentee Voting Board will be on duty 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the courthouse. Identification is required before a ballot is issued.

Actual precinct voting takes place 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday for those who choose to use their designated precincts.

The city has proposed to fix the streets with the $9 million bond, that would affect property owners only, if the vote passes. Anyone registered to vote who lives within the city of Duncan can vote on this issue, regardless of property ownership or not.

Among the projects — constructing, reconstructing, repairing, improving roads and streets — 255 of them in all. This includes drainage issues and complete resurfacing of many of them.
