DUNCAN — A tornado that touched down briefly east of Bray knocked down some power lines and a few trees, but did not injure anyone, Stephens County District 1 Commissioner Darrell Sparks said Monday.

The twister, the first tornado of the spring storm season, touched down briefly near 13 Mile Road about 6 p.m. Sunday.

“It’s a pretty wide open area out there,”  Sparks said.

Storm sirens in Duncan sounded around 6 p.m., but the most threatening parts of the weather system stayed east of the city, officials said.

Some marble-sized hail fell in eastern portions of the county, said District 3 Commissioner Dee Bowen.
