DUNCAN — Eight voters cast ballots Thursday during the first day of early voting in three area elections, Stephens County Election Board Secretary Angie Dunagan said.

All of the early votes were in the Marlow City Council election, she said.

The other two elections are for a seat on the Bray-Doyle school board and the Central High school board.

Early voting continues today from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Stephens County Election board office in the county courthouse.

Snowfall on Thursday morning may have led some to decide against driving to Duncan to vote early and to vote at their home precinct on election day Tuesday.

Precincts that will be open for voting on Tuesday for the Marlow City Council Ward II election include Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Fifth Street Missionary Baptist Church and Gatlin Baptist Church.

For the Bray-Doyle school board election, voting will be at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Fifth Street Missionary Baptist Church, Gatlin Baptist Church, Lakeside Baptist Church, Bray Community Center, Foster Store, Velma Baptist Church and Graceway Baptist Church. Central High voting precincts will be at Central High Community Center and Gatlin Baptist Church.
