DUNCAN — Update on Cancellations for Tuesday

Duncan Public Schools will announce cancellation of Tuesday’s classes by 6 a.m. if they decide to cancel

The Southwest Oklahoma Legislative Reception set for Tuesday evening has been canceled because of inclement weather.

The reception will be rescheduled for a later date, said Chris Deal, president with Duncan Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The reception is being sponsored by the Duncan Chamber of Commerce and other area chambers as an opportunity to host area legislators. It provides local chamber members the opportunity to visit with legislators and discuss upcoming legislation.

Cameron University has cancelled all classes after 2 p.m. today for both the Lawton and Duncan campuses. At this time, administration offices will remain open until 5 p.m.

Unless otherwise notified, classes will resume as scheduled Tuesday but students are asked to put personal safety first when making travel plans.

CU-Duncan Director Susan Camp said full weather updates could be found on www.cameron.edu.

All youth basketball games at the Simmons Center Monday night have been cancelled and rescheduled for Tuesday night.
