Locals compete at Stephens County Free Fair Talent Show

DUNCAN — Jetty Henderson sings "Blue" which was originally written for Patsy Cline, Thursday at Stephens County Free Fair Talent Show. Henderson has been singing bluegrass since the age of two and began playing instruments when she was three years old.

“My mom and dad met in bluegrass music so I was raised in it. I play because that is my calling and God has given m I think the fair is a great event and a great way for the community to come together,” Henderson said.

All competitors advanced to the final round which will be held at 5 p.m. tonight at the Stephens County Fair & Expo Center on the fairgrounds in Duncan. The fair kicked off Thursday and continues through Saturday with vendors, Open Class exhibits, the pie show, cupcake contest, carnival, rodeo and livestock competitions. The fair is free to attend. There is a charge for rides and the rodeo.
