Thieves swipe six security cameras

DUNCAN — Thieves stole six Samsung security cameras from the Soap Box laundromat, police said.

“It’s so hard to believe how hard it is to run a business without people vandalizing or stealing things,” said Sandra Lolar, who manages the business.

The coin-operated laundromat at 12 N. 5th Street is attended by an employee, Lolar said, and she has no plans to change the way it is operated.

Police reported they the theft occurred between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m on Monday.

Investigators suspect the thieves turned off the breaker box before the cameras were removed, reports said.

There was no evidence of forcible entry to the business, and no other damage was reported.

Lolar reported the theft Tuesday morning.
