Library, art auction and rodeo offer variety of activities this week

DUNCAN — Duncan Public Library

At the Duncan Public Library this week, there are several events planned for children and teens. Mandala stained glass workshop for ages 7-11 is from 10-11 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, June 26. Registration is required.

Storytime with magician Steve Crawford is for all ages at 11 a.m. Thursday. Registration is open at 9:30 a.m. Monday for the Fancy Nancy Tea Party for ages 3-8 from 2-3 p.m. Friday.

Gabriel’s House Dinner and Art Auction

Duncan’s Gabriel’s House is holding its annual dinner and art auction at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27 at the Simmons Center. Art works from Gabriel’s House students and those donated by local artists will be up for auction to raise money for the non-profit organization.

Duncan Noon Lions Club Open Rodeo

The 33rd annual Duncan Noon Lions Club Open Rodeo will begin each night at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at the Stephens County Fair & Expo Center outdoor arena.

The event raises funds for the club’s projects and scholarships. It features beginner to pro cowboys and girls in various rodeo events including bull riding and several roping events.
