Commissioners approve improvements against erosion of right away

DUNCAN — On a light agenda, the Stephens County commissioners took action to make improvements against erosion in a county right of way.

During Monday’s regular meeting, commissioners approved a cooperative agreement between Russell Morgan and the county to clear ditches and trees on a property in Stephens County District 3. The property is at Section 26, Township 2 South, Range 7 West.

The commissioners hope the improvements will diminish erosion and siltation of the right of way.

In other action:

The commissioners approved executing a county deed for a property acquired at resale. The property, which is in Duncan, is at Block 25, Lot 7 in the Head Addition.

The property was submitted by Stephens County Treasurer Janice Graham.

The board approved the payment of any purchase orders and the issuance of any blanket purchase orders.

The commissioners also approved the minutes from the July 7 regular meeting.
