The Duncan City Council will hold a special meeting Wednesday to consider moves that would lower payments being made for improvements to the city’s water treatment plant.
The projects undertaken in phases in 2005 and 2007 cost about $15 million.
City Budget Director Patti Clift said changes by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board will allow the city to get lower interest rates on the remaining debt.
The Council plans to meet at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Police Department complex at 18 S. Seventh St.
