Duncan police investigate shooting

DUNCAN — Just after 4 p.m. Friday, Duncan Police and other entities responded to a shooting call at 902 S. 10th.

Few details are known, but the victim of the shooting, was arrested at the scene after being treated by medical personnel. Duncan Police placed him in handcuffs and in custody. His name has not been released.

Duncan police responded with five units and two unmarked vehicles. Duncan Fire Department sent one unit. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Nathan Mackey also aided the Duncan Police Department during the incident. American Medical Response had two ambulances at the scene.

Less than two hours after that first call, police were again dispatched to the same location regarding another assault, involving one man from the previous incident.

Around the same time, police were also dispatched to Whispering Hills, just north of Camelback Road north of Duncan, to yet another assault. This call indicated a female had assaulted a male and a shotgun was involved. No other details are known at this time. Duncan police have been busy all afternoon with back-to-back calls, including a vehicle accident near Chisholm Corner at U.S. Highway 81 and Elder.
