Breaking News: Man hangs himself in Stephens County Jail

DUNCAN — A Duncan man hanged himself in the Stephens County Jail a short time after he was arrested Monday for being drunk in public.

Sheriff Wayne McKinney said Clarence Arless Hill II, 42, was alone in a cell used to temporarily hold intoxicated people and hanged himself late Monday afternoon in between frequent checks by detention officers.

McKinney said Hill hanged himself with a T-shirt from a wall that cordoned off a cell toilet. He was transported to Duncan Regional Hospital shortly after 4:30 p.m. and pronounced dead.

McKinney said the death was still being investigated but there was no foul play. He called it a very sad occasion.

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
