DUNCAN After a controlled drug transaction around midnight Sunday, three individuals are being held in Stephens County Jail on charges of distribution of crack cocaine.

One of those individuals is Atora Nicole Goff, who was the major witness in the murder case of Cyrus Holland that happened in Douglass Park Oct. 1, 2008.

Goff, 23, also was a victim of a shooting in Lawton, before the case went to trial.

Stephens County District Attorney’s office filed felony charges on Goff, along with Kelvin Ronald Boelen, 29, and Stacy Dawn Stroud, 35, early Monday morning.

First Assistant District Attorney Dennis Gay said that the penalty for the charge is five years to life. The drug is considered a narcotic.

“She was involved in the Cyrus Holland murder case as a witness. Her role in that whole mess was never very clear. She never testified consistently,” Gay said. “In that case, she testified that she was in a gang.”

Goff doesn’t have any priors, though, he said.

The arrests were made after the Stephens County Drug Task Force made the purchase of the drug, with a $1,000.

Task Force investigator Justin Scott said that $1,000 in drugs were not obtained.

“They shorted us,” he said.

After DPD officers and Stephens County Sheriff’s officers intercepted the trio near First Street and Cedar Avenue, they were mirandized, and admitted to various roles in the drug transaction.

According to the affidavit filed through district court, Stroud admitted to driving Goff and Boelen to get the crack cocaine, in exchange for some of the drug. Goff also admitted in the statement that Boelen had placed candle wax inside the bags to enhance the appearance of the amount of drug supposedly in those bags. The money was retrieved from Goff after she was booked into the county jail.

The charges also carry a $100,000 fine, if they are convicted.
