A one-car accident Thursday morning in southeastern Stephens County resulted in a Duncan man being flown to Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton with injuries.
Lori Cummins, director of community relations for the hospital, said Thursday afternoon that Joshua Hesbrook, 27, was listed in serious condition.
According to the accident report prepared by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Nathan Mackey, Hesbrook was eastbound on Oklahoma Highway 53 in a 2006 Chevrolet pickup shortly after 7 a.m. about seven miles west of U.S. Highway 81.
According to the report, the vehicle departed the right side of the road, the driver overcorrected and the vehicle went into a broad slide.
The vehicle then departed the left side of the roadway and struck a culvert and telephone pole. Hesbrook was ejected approximately five feet, the report said.
No citations were issued.
