Turner gets 5 years in prison

OKLAHOMA CITY — A Marlow man was sentenced Wednesday in United States Federal Court by U.S. District Judge Joe Heaton for possession of methamphetamine (meth) with intent to distribute.

William Jefferson Turner Jr., 46, will serve five years in federal prison followed by four years of supervision upon his release and must pay a $1,000 fine.

Turner faced a potential of up to 40 years in prison and a $2 million fine on the charge.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, the Marlow Police Department and the Duncan City Police Department and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney David Petermann.
