CHICKASHA — A Marlow woman died Saturday from massive injuries as a result of a two vehicle accident involving a Freightliner truck.
According to the accident report prepared by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Jason Henson, 31-year-old Audra Lee Viola Rico was southbound in a 2000 Ford Mustang on U.S. Highway 81 north of Chickasha.
According to the report, Saul Salgado-Terrazas, 43, of Oklahoma City was driving a 1996 Freightliner north on U.S. Highway 81 when Rico’s vehicle went left of center.
The Mustang struck the Freightliner behind the driver’s side door.
Rico was pinned for approximately two hours and was freed by the Chickasha’s fire department using the Hurst Tool.
According to the report, Rico expired at the scene. Rico was transported by Sevier’s Funeral Home to their facility in Chickasha.
Salgado-Terrazas was reportedly uninjured.
Chickasha emergency first responders, Pocasset Fire Department and Amber Police Department assisted in the accident.
