P.M. Update: Duncan women injured in accident

Four Duncan women were involved in an accident at the intersection of Oklahoma Highways 65 and 7 around 5:28 p.m. Thursday when the vehicle in which they were riding was struck by another vehicle driven by a man from Elgin.

According to the accident report filed by Trooper Tom Winton, of Troop G in Lawton, Brenda Edwards, 49, Marva Troy, 60, Danielle Crudup, 15, and Bresuana Chase, 14, were in the vehicle driven by Edwards, headed west, when Clarence Hardzog Jr., 68, failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into Edwards’ path.

Troy was pinned for 20 minutes until freed by Cox Store Fire Department using the Hurst tool, the report noted. She was transported by Comanche County Ambulance Service to Comanche County Memorial Hospital and admitted in good condition with leg injuries.

Crudup and Chase were also transported by Kirk’s Ambulance to the same hospital, where they were treated and released. Edwards was transported by Comanche County Ambulance to CCMH and treated and released, the report noted.

Hardzog was not injured, according to the report.

All individuals were wearing seat belts.

Winton was also assisted by Comanche County Sheriff’s Department.
