DUNCAN — Jessica Rae Metzer and Michael (Mickey) Warren Peercy Jr., both of Duncan, will exchange wedding vows June 8, 2013, at The Lindley House in Duncan with Michael Peercy, father of the groom and pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Duncan, officiating.
Bride-elect is the daughter of Steven and Kathy Metzer of Duncan. Her grandparents are Richard and Phyllis Long of Lebanon, Mo., and William and Marilyn Metzer of Broken Arrow.
Prospective groom is the son of Michael and Victoria Peercy of Duncan. His grandparents are Verne and Rosemary McCabe of Broken Arrow and Mack and Karen Peercy of Tecumseh. His great-grandparents are Henry and JoAnn McCabe of Broken Arrow, Virgil and Kay Chappell of Edmond, Lois Chappell of Broken Arrow, and Ernestene Payne of Tecumseh.
Jessica is a 2010 graduate of Duncan High School, where she was drum major for the DHS marching band and participated in soccer, cross country, and track. She is a senior at Oklahoma State University, majoring in elementary education, and is employed at the OSU Human Sciences Duplicating office. Jessica serves on the Education Student Council and the OSU chapter of the Student Oklahoma Educators Association. She also volunteers at the Wesley Foundation English Corner and attends Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Stillwater. Jessica will graduate in December of 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
Mickey graduated from Duncan High School in 2010, where he played trumpet in the DHS band and participated in football and soccer. He is a senior at Oklahoma Baptist University, majoring in accounting, and is employed at The Medicine Shoppe in Shawnee. Mickey plays intramural soccer, serves on the OBU Career Services Student Advisory Panel, and volunteers at the Shawnee community free health clinic. He plans to graduate in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Aacounting, and continue his education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration to become a certified public accountant.
