The Duncan Instrumental Music Department is hosting its free Spring Band Concert and “Evening of Percussion” Concert at 7 p.m. Monday and again at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The percussion concert will be held and the band concert will be held on Tuesday. Both concerts will be in the DHS auditorium.
This is the 6th annual Evening of Percussion Concert which features a wide variety of music with more than 35 musicians playing on various percussion instruments.
The “Evening of Percussion” is directed by Andrew Orr.
Groups featured in the band concert will be the 6th grade band, 7th and 8th grade bands, the jazz band and the HS concert Band. Also being recognized will be the senior members of the band and their parents, as this will be their final performance,” said Director Jeramy Haas.
“There is bound to be a selection of music that the band will play that will appeal to someone.”
Movie music will be dominant in the band concert with selections from “Jurassic Park,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Lord of the Rings,” “Back to the Future,” “E.T.” and more.
These events are open to the entire community.
“So, come out and support these students who have been out there supporting so many of the school and community activities on their last concert of the school year,” said Haas.
