DUNCAN — Whether you attended one, none, or all three area parades Dec. 14, there may have been a few scenes you missed.

If you didn’t brave the cold, here is a glimpse into the Christmas season in Stephens County when Duncan, Marlow and Comanche celebrated with the cities’ annual parades.

Floats ranged from those featuring groups, churches, city and county figures. Of course Santa ended each parade in his jolly style.

This year marked the biggest number of entries for the Main Street Duncan Parade with 145. Though several didn’t show up because of the chilly weather, the procession lasted just over an hour.

Temperatures affected the attendance and participation at the Marlow and Comanche parades slightly but both succeeded in providing entertainment for the communities.

Comanche’s parade featured something no other in the county did — lights and fireworks.
