DAD celebrates
Dance academy celebrates eight years with free recital

DUNCAN —
Dance Academy of Duncan (DAD) is in its eighth year of carrying out a common vision of keeping classical dance in Stephens County.
The organization will hold a free recital at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Simmons Center Theater.
The dancers ages preschool through high school will present “DAD Radio,” a showcase of dances in ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop.
The excitement among the dancers is evident as they prepare for the recital under the direction of teachers Barbara Black, Devin Vasella and Georgia Peitner.
Dancers are encouraged to be graceful and express themselves through the art of dance.
Dancers performing in the recital are Cheyenne Albert, Rebecca Bailey, Ashlee Callaham, Alexandra Cassidy, Vanessa Cassidy, Morgan Cox, Brittney Curtis, Sydney Davidson, Tori Davidson, Lindsey Delaughter, Brea Edens, Kaelen Estep, Hannah Farris, Bella Lynn Farrow, Nathalia Fernandez, Alyssa Flesher, Bethany Fullmer, Ava Gates, Stella Gilbreth, Delia Gonzalez, Kylie Greening, Kennedy Hammack. Chloe Harrison, Andrea Hernandez, Abbie Hernandez, Ashlee Hernandez, Penelope Hughes, Hannah Jennings, Montana Luna, Shelby Luna, Delaney Lutjens, Emily McGough, Sarah McGough, Avery McLain, Rylee McLain, Shaylan Metts, Alena Miller, Sage Minyard, Alyssa Mitchell, Savannah Norris, Olivia Pruitt, Sydney Segura, Bonnie Shoemaker, Julianna Shoemaker, Sarah Sladek, Kate Szymanski, Clarissa Telford, Makenzie Terrell, Bea Tezen, Savanna Wainscott, Nancy Webb and Leska Weightman.
DAD is a not-for-profit organization continuing to strive to offer this alternative method of dance instructions.

Summer sessions focusing on intense skills of dance or introducing potential new dancers to teachers and techniques will be offered in June and/or July.
