The Duncan Lady Demons punched their ticket to the state tournament Wednesday after finishing second at regionals.
DHS shot 344, 12 strokes behind Pryor. Bixby was third with 349, while Bishop Kelley was fourth at 363 and McAlester was fifth at 368.
Pryor’s Kamryn Ruffin won the event with a 67.
Sarah Harper led Duncan with an 82, good for fifth. MacKenzie Gray finished eighth with an 86. Rachel Graham shot an 87, Laura Clark an 89 and Jill Spradlin a 98.
“We played kind of average for us,” Duncan head coach Chuck Croy said. “We play good rounds, but we aren’t playing consistent. We are a good team that has the potential of shooting a state winning score.”
Croy added that the Lady Demons will focus on their short game in preparation of defending their state title.
“If you are chipping bad, you are leaving yourself long putts,” Croy said. “We are actually putting pretty well, but we have to polish up around the green.”
