March 22 Church Briefs



Monday will be Children’s Night with hotdogs at 6 p.m. Tuesday is the All Church Soup and Salads at 6 p.m. Wednesday is Youth Night with pizza at 6 p.m.

Nursery will be provided.

First Presbyterian

Palm Sunday service will be lead by Rev. Sue Trei-Conrad. There will be a Maundy Thursday service starting at 6 p.m. March 28 and there will be communion during this service. A nursery is available. Choir practice is at 7 p.m. Wednesday and everyone is welcome.


Western Heights Baptist

Worship with Minister of Music Tony Hooper is followed by a sermon titled “Sanctified by Grace” by Pastor Chris Percival. This week, Chris’s main verse is found in the book of Philippians.

In Sunday school, the four adult classes are studying about caring for others with passages found in 1 Timothy. The children’s class will be studying the “Life of Christ” through the Easter Holiday.

Sunday Evening worship is at 6 p.m. The church began an exciting new bible study series.

Home school Band Practice starts at 11 a.m. Thursday morning in fellowship hall.

Chris and his family will be hosting the Young-Adult Group for a Mexican Fiesta Sunday.

Plans are in full swing for the Easter Sunrise Service and Breakfast.


Hope Community

Hope Community Church of Marlow will have its “Fifth Sunday Singin’” on the fourth Sunday this month due to Easter on March 31. Many will be sharing in song, poems, stories, and testimonies during the morning worship service. An invitation is extended to all of Stephens County to come and participate in the singing. After the service, there will be a fellowship meal in the fellowship hall and all are invited to stay and enjoy.

Prayer meeting is on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The Pastor is Bro. Jack Greenwood and Worship Leader is Mrs. Kim Spivey.

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
