CENTRAL HIGH — The annual Marlow District Fair was held Aug. 18, at Stephens County fairgrounds with over 50 animals exhibited. Central High Ag instructor, Ron Curry, said, “This show gives young students the opportunity to show off the hard work they put in over the summer.”

Curry said that while many students, not involved in agriculture, FFA and 4-H programs, may be enjoying sleeping late on a Saturday morning, those in his program are usually up by sunrise.

“These dedicated members are up at sunrise working their animals to show their excellence in livestock preparation,” he said. “They are also learning life skills that they will use for the rest of their lives. In the end it will make them better leaders for today, tomorrow and their futures.”
