DUNCAN — Information for obituaries is generally supplied to The Banner by funeral homes, but will be accepted from families in special circumstances. Obit information, whether full obits or “pending” notices, must be submitted by 5 p.m. the day before publication on weekdays. The deadline for Sunday publication is 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Banner does not have a print edition for Saturday or Monday. Obituaries supplied on Friday will be published in Sunday and after the 4 p.m. deadline Saturday, the obituary would be published in the Tuesday edition.

A death notice is made available for no charge. It includes the name, age, date of death, service and visitation information, condolences and memorials. Obituaries are also published on The Banner website.

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
