Serva Group lets go of 13

DUNCAN — Serva Group LLC released this statement Tuesday from its plant manager, Glenn Davis, on recent layoffs:

“Due to the decreased business outlook for equipment manufacturing in the frac market and natural gas prices, on Friday, Jan. 11, Serva Group made the difficult decision to reduce its workforce by 13 employees.”

Kandi Benton, Payroll/HR Generalist, shared with The Banner via email, that Davis said this was a “very difficult decision due to the consequences on the employees that were affected.”

Serva Group has been based in Duncan for many years and employs on average, 60-65 people, Benton said. According to its website, it was established in 1977 and deals with design, manufacture and installation of equipment in the energy technology market on a global scale.

The company is located at 3600 S. 13th.

“The Duncan facility is a valued part of ServaGroup and it is hopeful that the business will improve quickly,” Davis shared in the email.

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
