Bill Shelton (back row, second from left), a World War II veteran from Enid, is shown with his 96th Bombardment  Group next to their B-17 Flying Fortress. Shelton was a flight engineer and tail-gunner aboard the aircraft when it was shot down by the Germans. Shelton spent more than 30 years at the Elks Lodge & Country Club in Duncan as a golf pro.

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
