Among the framed memorabilia cherished by Floyd and Patty Wininger is an article from The Duncan Banner, dated August 25, 1985, when Hawkins TV opened in its new location at 13 S. U.S. Highway 81, in Duncan, Oklahoma. The business closed May 4, 2013, and the building and its property are for sale. The business was originally started in a garage in Lawton, in 1957, by Jack and Lena Hawkins.
