No. 1 Velma-Alma girls Record: (8-4), coming off four straight wins including a 46-35 upset of No. 11 Chattanooga on Saturday. Stength: Unselfishness — The Comets are always looking for the open shots and share the ball well on offense to get open looks. Weakness: Variety on offense — Somehow it always seems to be on Ariah Johnson’s shoulders to score most of the points for Velma-Alma. With teams keying on her, the Comets need to find some other scorers. Player to Watch: Senior Ariah Johnson — Johnson has been all a Comet fan could ask for, as far as scoring goes this season. She will face a lot of double-teams throughout the tournament, though. First-round matchup: vs. No. 8 Central on Monday at 9:00 p.m.

Poll

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
