DUNCAN — Harold and Hatty DeHart celebrated 60 yeas of marriage on Thursday. There will be a family gathering in Chickasha to celebrate their anniversary.

Harold DeHart and Hatty Worbes married Dec. 16, 1950, at brother Bill Lee’s home with Lee officiating.

The couple has lived in Duncan most the time. Harold was in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He flew the C-124 Globemaster and travelled all over the world.

They moved back to Duncan and owned Southwest Sheet Metal and Roofing for 31 years. Harold retired in 1998. They also operated the Duncan Fixed Base Operation at the Duncan Municipal Airport for seven years.

Harold flew private airplanes for 21 years. Hatty was a homemaker and raised two children.

Their children are Duane DeHart and wife, Emily, of Duncan, and Kathy Lawrence and husband, Rick, of Aledo, Texas. Grandchildren are Russell Lawrence, Robert Lawrence and Brennan DeHart. Great-grandchildren are Reece Lawrence and Madison Lawrence.
