COMANCHE — Ronnie and Janet Peck of Comanche celebrated 50 years of marriage on Oct. 25, 2013. They celebrated the special occasion with a trip to the 2013 International Balloon Festival in Albuquerque, N.M.

Ronnie is the son of the late Bill and Myrl Peck of Comanche, and Janet is the daughter of Patty Ruth Davidson and the late Samuel (Buster Davidson also of Comanche.

The couple met during high school and both graduated from Comanche High School. Soon after Janet’s graduation, they were married and moved to Oklahoma City, where Ronnie had a job with a home construction company.

After a short time in Oklahoma City, the Pecks moved to Duncan as Ronnie had obtained a job with Halliburton. While living in Duncan, they were blessed with two sons, Randy and Jeff, and later while living in Plano, Texas, they had another son, Shawn.

Their children are Randy Peck and wife Cassie of Edmond, Jeff Peck and wife Pam of Oklahoma City, and Shawn Peck of Duncan. Grandchildren are Austin, Madison, Grant and Noah.

Ronnie and Janet now live in the rural Comanche area and are active members of Liberty Baptist Church.
